Can I register for training privately, or do I have to be referred by a company?

Yes, you may register for training privately as an individual.

Yes, absolutely. However, please note that after you have installed an electric fence, you will need a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) specialist to inspect and sign off the installation.

A basic understanding of electricity and basic computer skills will be helpful, although neither is compulsory.

Unfortunately, we do not. However, we can assist you in finding a suitable training centre that offers certified CoC training.

Payments can be made by card or cash at Security Warehouse, or by electronic funds transfer (EFT). Payment must be made at least three days before your training date. The course price includes a training manual, a pen for taking notes, and lunch.

Security Warehouse’s Training Academy is not accredited by or registered with SETA, PSIRA, or SASSETA. Our courses focus on practical, brand-specific expertise rather than national accreditation and are designed to provide the technical skills required in the field.

Unfortunately, no. However, we can offer assistance and guidance on applying for PSIRA registration through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) using our certificate.

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate last-minute attendance. Our courses are scheduled in advance and are often fully booked, leaving no space for drop-in attendees. Please follow the booking process to secure a place on your preferred course and avoid disappointment.

A compulsory pass mark of 70% is required for certification in the relevant training course. If you do not achieve the required mark, you may rewrite the examination at another pre-arranged time for a fee of R250. This must be arranged with your trainer in advance.

You can reschedule or cancel your training completely free of charge, provided you notify us at least one business day before your course starts. Because our class sizes are limited, missed sessions without prior notice disrupt scheduling. For unexcused absences, a 20% re-booking or administration fee will apply. We do understand that genuine emergencies happen (such as medical situations or family bereavements) – just reach out to our team with supporting documentation within 48 hours so we can assist you.

If your certificate was issued more than three years ago, you will need to retake the course because technology changes continuously. The standard course fee will apply. If you have kept your knowledge up to date, you may choose to rewrite only the examination for a fee of R250.

We try to follow our predetermined schedule. However, in certain circumstances, we may be able to accommodate delegates on custom dates, subject to the training schedule and trainer availability. This generally applies to group bookings or delegates travelling from outside Gauteng or South Africa.
