Lesson 4.1: Analog HD Camera Connection

 

Components Needed:

  • Camera (Analog HD)

  • DVR (Digital Video Recorder)

  • Coaxial cable (RG59/RG6)

  • DC power cable

  • Power supply (12V DC)

Connection Process:

  1. Crimp BNC connectors onto both ends of the coax cable.

  2. Connect one end of the coaxial cable (BNC Male) to the camera video output

  3. Connect the opposite end of the coaxial cable (BNC Male) into an open video input channel on the DVR

  4. Plug the DC 2.1mm power jack into the camera power pigtail

  5. Connect the power cable leads to the 12V DC power supply box or adapter
