Lesson 6.4: Electrical & Job Site Safety

Essential Safety Rules:

  • Electrical Disconnect: Always disconnect main AC power source connections before doing physical wiring

  • Ladder & Height Safety: Practice standard ladder safety when mounting cameras at recommended heights

  • Drilling Caution: Avoid drilling into walls directly above or near hidden electrical lines

  • Personal Protection: Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety gloves and eye protection

  • Circuit Protection: Install surge protection on all equipment and never overload power supplies or PoE switch wattage limits
